Telefonica invests in Eventful's $10M round

Still independent three years after its chief rival Upcoming.org was acquired by Yahoo Inc., local event information distributor Eventful Inc. has taken in a new Series C round of funding that includes the venture arm of Spanish telco Telefonica SA.
