Good news from Minnesota-based 3M Corporation (NYSE: MMM): It's diving into the cleantech sector. 3M's been inventing and manufacturing technologies that improve renewable energy for years but just announced that it's creating a new business unit specifically focused on growing its share in this burgeoning market.3M's products include solar films and mirrors that improve wattage usage and even a tape that can be applied to wind turbine blades to protect them from airborne particles and insects that erode the equipment more quickly.via Minneapolis Star Tribune...
