Researchers Sequence Genome of Hydrogen-Producing Anaerobe

A team of researchers in Germany has sequenced the genome of the anaerobic bacterium Clostridium kluyveri, a well-studied organism unique among the clostridia in that it grows on ethanol and acetate as sole energy sources.
