Filed under: EthanolThis month, researchers at Iowa State University released a study that projected future domestic ethanol production rates and its impacts on planted acreage, crop prices, livestock production and prices, trade, and retail food costs. That's a tall order, and the results are none too sweet for corn-based ethanol promoters. ISU found that expanded U.S. ethanol production will cause long-run crop prices to increase.
